- Northumberland Coffee Roasters Single-origin Colombian
- Northumbrian Pedigree milk & Oatly Barista milk as standard (more available on request).
- Tea from Estate Tea Co.
- Callebaut hot chocolate.
- Syrups from Sip syrup and Henny, and Joe's chai
- All cups, lids and service ware included
- Set up, breakdown and travel handled by our team

- We operate self-contained water and waste systems.
- Rain, wind or coastal gusts are no concern; the Defenders were built for conditions.

Areas covered
Based in Northumberland, our Defenders travel across:
North East England - Northumberland, Newcastle, Durham and Sunderland. Our standard set up fee includes travel to locations up to 50 miles from our HQ, (NE18 0LL).
Borders & Cumbria - Berwickshire, Scottish Borders, Carlisle and the Lake district.
Wider UK - We are available to hire nationwide for multi day events or branded activations (upon request).

Our footprint is approximately 3 m wide x 5m long x 2.4m high.

Pricing
Starts from:
£450 + VAT for two hours of service for 50 guests within 50 miles of the Roastery.
Includes baristas, all coffee served, travel within central Northumberland and all equipment.
Longer hires, large footfall events and multi-day activations are quoted individually.
About the Landies
The defenders are fully equipped with an espresso machine, industry-leading Malkönig grinder and a huge 90-litre water tank on board to cater for even the largest of events.
The Landy is powered by gas and battery. This means we are fully mobile and require no power hookup. We can operate in the most remote corners you can find, whatever the event (Essentially, anywhere you can drive a defender, we can serve coffee!).
We’ve chosen not to use a generator, so we can pitch up at your event or in the wild without disturbing it with the noise or fumes that come with using generators. We want to be able to serve our amazing coffee anywhere you can imagine, but leave no trace.

How long is a typical hire?
Most events book the Defenders for 2–4 hours, but we can serve full-day and multi-day festivals too.

Can you operate indoors?
Yes, provided the space allows vehicle access and has adequate ventilation. We’ve served inside barns, workshops, venues and gyms.
If the Defender can drive in, we can serve.
Do you offer dairy-free and vegan options?
Yes. We always carry oat milk as standard and can add more dairy-free options on request.
Can you serve alcohol too (like espresso martinis)?
Yes, we can build coffee cocktails or collaborate with your bar team.
We hold the appropriate licensing for events where required.
Do you offer branding options for corporate events?
Absolutely - We can provide:
- Bespoke menus
- Branded cups
- Co-branded Defender signage
- Launch or campaign-specific coffee blends
- Branding Decals or full vehicle wrap
This is popular for product launches and brand activations.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a £250 set up fee deposit confirms your date.
The remaining balance is due 14 days before the event.
For large/corporate events a 50% deposit is required.
What if it rains?
We’re from Northumberland.
We’re prepared.
Rain is not a reason to cancel; the Defenders were built to serve in all weather.
